Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Signal, including the website located at prop.forum and the related profiles, communities, posts, comments, voting, media-upload, advertising, and other features we provide (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and authority

You may use the Service only if you are at least 13 years old, are legally permitted to use the Service, and can enter into a binding agreement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Changes to the Terms or Service

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

We may add, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including communities, features, storage, advertising tools, or account functionality.

3. Description of Signal

Signal is a public community forum that allows users to discuss prediction markets, foreign exchange, stocks, comparisons, memes, and other topics. Users may create profiles, join communities, publish posts and images, comment, reply, vote, and interact with advertisements or sponsored content.

Signal is a software and publishing platform. Signal is not a broker, dealer, exchange, investment adviser, financial institution, prediction market, or trading venue, and it does not execute or settle trades.

4. Accounts and authentication

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account. Accounts may be created using email and password authentication or a supported third-party identity provider, such as Google. Your use of a third-party identity provider is also subject to that provider’s terms and policies.

You may not sell, transfer, impersonate another person through, or provide unauthorized access to your account.

5. Public content and user responsibility

Signal is primarily public. Your username, display name, profile information, posts, comments, images, community memberships, and other activity may be visible to people who are not signed in and may be copied, indexed, quoted, or redistributed by third parties.

You are solely responsible for content you submit or make available through the Service (“User Content”), including its legality, accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness.

6. Ownership and license to User Content

You retain any ownership rights you have in your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Signal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify for formatting or technical purposes, publish, display, distribute, promote, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, advertise, and provide the Service.

This license continues for as long as your content remains on the Service and for a reasonable period afterward in backups, logs, legal records, or content that other users have shared or quoted.

You represent that you own or have all rights needed to submit your User Content and grant this license.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • violate applicable law or another person’s rights;
  • post unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or abusive content;
  • infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other intellectual-property rights;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, affiliation, qualifications, or the source of content;
  • manipulate votes, engagement, memberships, advertising results, or other platform metrics through bots, coordinated abuse, or deceptive means;
  • distribute malware, malicious code, phishing content, credential theft, spam, or unauthorized commercial solicitations;
  • scrape, crawl, copy, or access the Service through automated means in a way that burdens, disrupts, or circumvents the Service or its protections;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or administrative features;
  • interfere with, disable, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service; or
  • encourage, facilitate, or coordinate conduct that would violate these Terms.

8. Moderation and enforcement

We may review, label, limit visibility of, remove, preserve, or disclose User Content when reasonably necessary to operate the Service, enforce these Terms, comply with law, address safety or security concerns, or protect users and third parties.

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts or access to the Service. We are not obligated to host any particular content or provide advance notice before taking action, although we may do so when appropriate.

Moderation decisions may be made using automated tools, user reports, or human review. We do not guarantee that all objectionable content will be identified or removed.

9. Copyright and intellectual-property complaints

We respect intellectual-property rights. To report content you believe infringes your rights, email support@prop.forum with:

  • identification of the protected work or right;
  • the URL or description of the allegedly infringing content;
  • your name and contact information;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder.

10. Advertising and sponsored content

The Service may display advertisements, sponsored posts, promoted links, or other paid content. Sponsored content should be labeled, but you remain responsible for evaluating any advertiser, offer, product, service, destination link, or claim.

Signal does not guarantee or endorse advertised products or services merely because an advertisement appears on the Service. Transactions between you and an advertiser are solely between you and that advertiser.

11. Third-party services and links

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including authentication, hosting, storage, email-delivery, analytics, payment, advertising, and external websites. Those services are operated independently and may have separate terms and privacy policies.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, security, products, or conduct.

12. Market and financial-content disclaimer

Content on Signal is provided by users for discussion and informational purposes. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances.

Nothing on Signal constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, or trading advice, or an offer, recommendation, solicitation, or endorsement to buy, sell, or hold any asset, contract, security, currency, or financial product.

You are solely responsible for evaluating information and for any decision or action you take based on content found through the Service. Financial and prediction-market activity can involve substantial risk and loss.

13. Security and platform availability

We take reasonable measures to operate and protect the Service, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of content you wish to preserve.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, OR SECURITY.

WE DO NOT WARRANT OR ENDORSE USER CONTENT, ADVERTISEMENTS, THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, OR INFORMATION AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICE.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNAL AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, REPUTATION, OPPORTUNITY, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNAL’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO SIGNAL DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Signal and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

17. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, remove your account, or restrict features at any time when we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect the Service or its users, comply with law, or address risk or abuse.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning ownership, licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise. Subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

19. Miscellaneous

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Signal concerning the Service. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent, but we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Service.
